Volunteers
Individuals and groups are invited to share their time and talents at the monastery. Since being established in 1874, volunteers have played a significant role in our ministries, both in Nauvoo, Illinois and the Quad Cities. Our work is possible because of the many volunteers who join us in carrying out the Mission of St. Mary Monastery.
Our Volunteers
Our Sisters reflect a diverse monastic community formed by the Gospel and the Rule of St. Benedict. Our Benedictine Values and the life we share in Christ empowers us to serve. The volunteers of St. Mary Monastery join the Sisters, Oblates and employees in seeking God and creating sacred space within self, the community and the world.
